Choirs at Frisco High School:
Chorale- This is the select large ensemble at FHS and consists of both men and women (mostly upper-classmen). Students show exceptional vocal technique, sightreading skills, and work ethic. Because students in this choir must remain eligible for Choir UIL, failures may result in the removal from this choir.
Concert Mixed (2 Class Periods) - This choir is open to all men and women at FHS regardless of experience. Members of this choir will participate in all the same events as Chorale including choir UIL.
Triple Trio- This is the select small ensemble at FHS consisting of 9 girls. Students were selected for this choir based on their work ethic, vocal technique, musicianship, and their ability to blend as an ensemble. All Triple Trio students are required to audition for the All-Region Choir and to participate in Solo/Ensemble Competition. Performers in this ensemble are usually also a part of Chorale.
Vocal Ensemble- This is a small ensemble that focuses mainly on improving vocal technique as an individual. Students will use class time to rehearse for individual competitions such as All-Region and Solo/Ensemble. Students in this class must audition for the All-Region Choir and Solo/Ensemble Competition. Performers in this ensemble are usually also a part of a large ensemble.
